BlogPulse Year in Review
Published by James December 30th, 2005 in Web 2.0A fabulous compilation of the best sites, posts, etc. for 2005. See the whole list here. Most of the top 10 blog posts I had never read, and some are great.
Also from BlogPulse, specifically Matthew Hurst, comes this great image of, as he calls it, the Blog Galaxy.
From his blog…….
The nodes displayed represent blogs. The size of the node is a rough indication of the number of citations. The colour of the nodes indicates livejournal (blue), blogspot (red), typepad (green), wordpress (cyan) and Weblogsinc (pink) - all other blogs are gray.

Livejournal has a huge network of interlinked blogs and social networks. They are also the most forthcoming with stats on their users. The statistics show that they are primarily a hosted solution for teens and young adults. Considering a blog is an online “journal” that a user could potentially have for their entire life, I wonder what steps are/will be taken to keep the first gen. bloggers from switching to another platform as they get older…………….
