Making Sense of all the Data

Emails sent: 89
IM conversations: 14 people
Skype Calls: 16 calls
It is hard to think where communication will be in five years. Just from today, I have an incredible amount of data that I have instant access and recall from my computer. All emails and IM’s are indexed and searchable and all skype calls can be recorded.
It will be interesting to see how all this information is integrated and aggregated under a one-stop electronic identity. Instead of having six different accounts, you can just have a standard number or name that can reach you via email, IM, or voice, and also allow you to index all previous contacts and conversations across a spectrum of communication mediums on any device, from a phone to a computer.
In terms of a communication identity this was/is the dream of SIP, but I have not heard much about it lately.
In terms of making all this data work in an intelligent fashion and play nicely locally and on the grid, when will Apple or Google come out with a CRM solution? ![]()
I’ve had a funny little idea about how to develop an app to integrate all this. You’re welcome to it if you want to be CEO.
Sounds good, just dont tell Chas.
