McNealy Steps Down from Sun

It appears that Scott McNealy has stepped down from the CEO position at Sun Microsystems after over two decades of service. The most famous of Sun bloggers, Johnathan Schwartz, will be taking over at the helm.

Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday Jonathan Schwartz will replace Scott McNealy as chief executive of the computer maker.

I had a chance to meet Scott McNealy earlier in the year and I found him to be very friendly and candid, a rarity among people with his sort of stature.

The market seems to be reactingly positively to the news, it should be interesting to see what the Sun employees have to say.
