I don’t think this can be looked at as the inmates running the asulym, rather this is a great case study in community and letting people truly control a social news site. The only other example I can think of where the community has this much control is Craigslist and I would hate to see that go away.
A monumental day in social media and the macro societal impact that I take away is DRM is_in_big_trouble. There is no way it is going to win in its current form.
