Party Last Night

Went to the TechCrunch Party last night and met a lot of intersting people. Plenty of buzz in the cold air and books ands booze in the hands. I was able to see a demo by a company started in Austrailia called OmniDrive, I have read a little about it and Nik was nice enough to show it off. The online storage space will blow up very soon. Side note, I also have another buddy from Autralia, Luke Metcalfe, who has moved out here from Sydney and is busy getting to know the landscape and upcoming.org. I’m excited to see what he is going to get done in San Fran. Now we just need Ben to drop some bombs on this side of the Pacific and we will be all set.
Got to see Shel again and bought his book, he signed it along with Robert Scoble. Shel was nice enough to give me an early copy a couple of months ago and I promised that I would buy one when it came out. So I did, and when I opened the book this morning I noticed Shel had wrote, ” You are a man of your word, thanks.” Nice, pretty cool that he remembered too.
Jeremiah(with his wife in photo) has a write up of the event and some pictures. Plenty more of those floating around on flickr.
The space is definitely alive, hopefully it will stay this way.
