We had an earthquake this morning. It is now about 40 minutes later. I like the feedback I am getting from people that have already posted about it.

Oh dear lord, it’s 5am & I just had the most ackwardly sexy satisfying dream of all time…

& then the room starts shaking. I felt the earthquake (or maybe the ends of it) & I thought it was my CD player being stuck or someone with a cart going across our floor…’til I realized my CD player doesn’t shake the door & that our carpet floor would absorb the cart’s bumbling. So yea, here’s the earthquake status as of 6am:

so we had an earthquake here today at 5:24 (about 25 minutes ago) and i didn’t feel a thing *snort* yep! i miss my first earthquake….and my body is fucking up on me waking up early still

it has been six and a half years, and I am still not used to feeling even a little earthquake.
Just around 05:25 this morning, my bedroom, the flat, the whole building went all wobbly for a few seconds. Wobbly! This still blows my mind. For a few more seconds more, my ceiling fan wobbled. Then all was still.

Earthquake!
Hehehe, it was pretty weak by the time it got up here, but I just starting to doze when a small earthquake shook me back up. And then I went to the Recent Earthquakes site and it was already up there with an X, down by Modesto, I think it was, and it turned out to be a 4.7.

Yep.

Hee, I love earthquakes—well, the nice, safe kind. I like moderately bigger ones, too, but I feel bad going, “Whee!” when people somewhere nearby are getting hurt. So, 4.7 is still in the range of “whee!” even if brief and small-ish here.

Oh, and there’s this big spider in here that loves to drop down almost like it’s just falling, and it’s shown up again today, and it’s eek-worthy since it seems to like “falling” off the ceiling. :: Inches over a little more to the right.

In terms of platforms, I would definitely say LiveJournal wins at breaking earthquake news.
