StateMaster Launches
Published by James April 11th, 2006 in Friends, Tech
Luke Metcalfe of Rapint technologies, a good friend of mine, has just announced the release of StateMaster which allows you to compare and contrast statistics on a state to state basis. This is a further compliment to Luke’s very successful NationMaster.
From the press release:
Following the resounding success of NationMaster, the world’s largest collection of country-based information which received acclaim from the BBC, New York Times and CNN, the makers of the site decided to translate their winning formula to US states. “The best thing about StateMaster is its addictiveness,” explains John Steinmetz, Chief Writer and Content Manager of the site. “Often when people think of statistics their brains shut down. But we’ve proven with NationMaster that data resources can be interesting and fun; there are a lot of revealing, quirky and downright amazing things people can find on our sites.”
Luke has a couple of really good products and I know that he will continue to expand. Factbites, is one that is very similar to the search engine/algorithm that Google snapped up called Orion.
More to come as Luke continues to build……….
